Love Bug Day!

Last week our "As Cute as A Cupcake" pastryshop was super busy with lots of orders for sweethearts islandwide! My sweetheart made a special request for white chocolate chip cookies, I took it up a notch by adding his favorite nut. Below are some photos of the treats we made and Edwin enjoying his:

A Taste is Grown!





Pure, fresh ingredients! Some opt for semi-homemade and pre-packaged but I believe fresh is always best. Although time may not always allow for us to go this route, whenever possible it should be pursued.



This week at Beautiful Decadence, we visited the gardens of one of our suppliers! The produce was so amazing! She uses no pesticides or chemicals. She has a variety of herbs that is hard if not impossible to find in Barbados. The cauliflower is spotless not a single speck! And the stems of the beets are simply radiant, causing memories of sweet, red licorice to rush to mind. As we brush past the rosemary bush, the scent reminds me of roasted lamb and creamy polenta. The green beans are crisp and crunchy, the raw sweetness bursting in your mouth. I just could not wait to create something delicious with these ingredients.
